Terms of Service

Last updated: April 2026

1. The service

Skalora provides productized validation engagements — structured research sprints that help founders decide whether to build, kill, or change direction on a product idea. The output is a recommendation supported by evidence. It is not a guarantee of commercial success.

2. Engagement terms

  • Kickoff: Engagements begin after payment is received and a kickoff call is scheduled. We start work within 2 business days of kickoff.
  • Timeline: Standard engagement is 7 days. Timeline may extend if interviewee recruitment is delayed — we notify you by Day 2 if this is likely.
  • Your participation: You are expected to attend the kickoff call (60 min) and the final decision call (60 min). Missing both materially affects the quality of the output.
  • Deliverables: Deliverables are sent within 24 hours of the final decision call. Format: written recommendation memo + supporting evidence.

3. Payment

  • Structure: 50% due at kickoff, 50% due on Day 4. Full payment must be received before the final deliverable is sent.
  • Currency: All prices are in EUR unless otherwise agreed.
  • Invoicing: Invoice issued within 24 hours of each payment milestone.

4. Kill clause — refund policy

Within 5 days of kickoff, if you decide Skalora is not the right fit — for any reason — we return 80% of any payment received. The remaining 20% covers work already completed (assumption mapping, test plan, initial recruitment).

After Day 5, no refund is available. By Day 5 we are actively running interviews on your behalf and have made commitments to interviewees.

To initiate a refund, email skalora.io@gmail.com. Refunds are processed within 5 business days.

5. Confidentiality

We treat all information shared during the engagement as confidential. We sign a mutual NDA before kickoff on request — and operate as if one is in place regardless.

We may reference the engagement as an anonymised case example (e.g. "a two-person SaaS team in fintech") in our marketing materials. We will never identify you, your company, or your idea without explicit written permission.

6. Intellectual property

All deliverables produced during the engagement — recommendation memos, evidence packs, build-ready specs, wind-down memos — become your property upon full payment. Skalora retains no rights to use them beyond the anonymised case example exception above.

Our methodology, process frameworks, and templates remain the intellectual property of Skalora.

7. Limitation of liability

Skalora provides research and recommendation services. We do not guarantee specific business outcomes. Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the engagement in question.

We are not responsible for decisions made based on our recommendation — the decision is always yours.

8. What Skalora doesn't do

  • We don't build MVPs or write code
  • We don't run ongoing retainers
  • We don't take equity
  • We don't manage your team or your agency relationships
  • We don't guarantee that our 'build' recommendation will succeed in market

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by Polish law. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Warsaw, Poland, unless otherwise agreed.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For active engagements, the terms in place at the time of kickoff apply. Updated terms apply to new engagements from the date of revision.
